The Veer Gatha Project is an initiative launched by the Government of India in 2021 under the Gallantry Awards Portal (GAP). The project aims to share the courageous acts and life stories of Gallantry Awardees with students to foster patriotism and civic values Key Objectives: -Inspire Patriotism: By learning about the bravery and sacrifices of gallantry award winners, students are encouraged to develop a sense of national pride and civic responsibility -Creative Engagement: Students participate in various activities such as writing poems, essays, creating paintings, and multimedia presentations based on the stories of these brave hearts Participation: Categories: The project is open to students from classes 3 to 12, divided into different categories based on their grade levels - Activities: Students can submit their entries in the form of poems, essays, paintings, drawings, or multimedia presentatios - Recognition: Awards: The best projects are recognized at the national level by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education. Selected entries receive certificates and cash prizes The project has seen significant participation, with millions of students engaging in the activities over the past editions
