All the District Educational Officers in the State are here by informed that C.P.R.Environmental Education Centre (CPREEC)is a Centre of Excellence in Environmental Education, established jointly by the Ministry of Environment, Forests, Government of India abd C.P.Ramaswamy Aiyar Foundation in 1989.Its chief objective is to promote enwironmental awareness, raising and dissemination of information on the environmental concern to the people.
CPREEC in partnership with Wipto Foundation, Bengaluru is executing a sustainability Education Programme in South India. The programme involves innovative project submissions on sustainability of water, biodiversity and waste management by groups of students guidedby a teacher. The programme is creative in promoting environmental thinking among the school going children (6- 12 standard)which is highly connected to the curiculum of the state.Best School Projects will be selected at the National level by the Earthian along with cash award of Rs.50,000/-fifty thousand each and merit based shortlisted Rs. 10,000/-for best project submissions also will be recognized at the regional level to encourage children.All Project submissions will receive participation certificates.
Hence all District Educational Officers are requested to identify 5 Science Resource Teachers from your district to attend a virtual orientation on 4h September, 2024 from 2.00pm to 5.00pm without fail. Please communicate the identified teachers list immediately to plg.cse@apschooledu.in.
The link for the online orientation will be sent on the day of the programme.
