ORDER:-

In G.O 1 read above, above, Government has accorded permission to the State Project Director, S.S.A., A.P., to upgrade 140 KGBVs as KGBV Junior Colleges to start Intermediate Course during the Academic Year, 2019-2020.

2. In G.O.2 read above, Govt. has accorded permission to the Commissioner of Intermediate Education, A.P., for conversion of one Government Junior College as Government Junior College for Girls in 25 Mandals, which are having more than one Government Junior College and not having Government Junior College for Girls.

3. In G.0.3 read above, Govt. accorded permission to the Commissioner of School Education, A.P., for upgradation of 292 Govt. High Schools into High School Plus for Girls, where there is no Government Junior College / KGBVs. In continuation vide G.O 4th & 5th read above Govt. issued orders for upgradation of two High Schools as High Schools plus for Girls.

4. The Commissioner of School Education, A.P., in his Letter 6th read above, has submitted the proposal for upgradation of 210 High Schools into High School Plus i.e. Co-Education (207) & Girls (03) with 02 groups out of 03. groups l.e. MPC., BIPC & CEC @ 40 students to each group, from the Academic Year, 2024 2025, to be functional from 1 June, 2024.

5. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord permission to Commissioner of School Education, A.P., for Upgradation of 210 High Schools Into High School Plus i.e. Co-Education (207) & Girls (03) present in 208 Mandals out of 679 Mandals shown bold letters in Annexure appended. to this G.O with 02 groups out of 03 groups i.e. MPC., BIPC & CEC @ 40 students to each group, from the Academic Year, 2024 2025, to be functional from 1 June, 2024 to fulfill Government policy that every Mandal shall have two Intermediate Junior Colleges ie one is for Co-education and one is exclusively for Girls.

6. With the above upgradation, the Department of School Education achieves. the objective of having at least two Government Intermediate Colleges (one exclusively for girls, one co-ed) per mandal in the state. With this intervention the access for the senior secondary students from academic year 2024-25 will increase substantially which will help the Department to achieve 100% Composite GER. For ready reference, the details of both Colleges per Mandal for all the Mandals in the State have been put in the Annexure.

7. The Commissioner of School Education, A.P., Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education, SPD-SS are requested to take further necessary action in the matter, accordingly.
