Allowances - House Rent Allowance - Enhancement of the Rate of HRA from 12% to 16% in the District headquarters of Parvathipuram, Paderu, Anakapalli, Amalapuram, Bhimavaram, Bapatia, Narsaraopeta, Puttaparthy and Rayachoty - Orders - Issued.

G.O.Ms.No. 69 Dated: 09.05.2023. Read the following:-

1. G.O.Ms.No.27, Finance (PC-TA) Department, dated 20.02.2022

2 Final Gazette Notifications: G-15 to G-40, dated: 03.04.2022, relating to the restructuring of districts in Andhra Pradesh.

3 CMP No.4882/Addl. Secy (MR)/2022, dated 07.10.2022 along with the representations of the Employees Associations

ORDER:

In the reference 1 read above, orders were issued revising the rates of House Rent Allowance (HRA) in supersession of the orders issued at para 8 of GO Ms No.1 Fin (PC-TA) Department dated 17.01.2022.

2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Government have issued the final Gazette Notifications relating to the restructuring of the existing Districts & Revenue Divisions in the State, & inter-alia Parvathipuram, Paderu, Amalapuram, Bhimavaram, Bapatla, Narsaraopeta, Puttaparthy and Rayachoty have become the District headquarters of restructured districts.

3. The aforementioned District headquarters do not fullfill the population parameters stipulated for sanction of HRA @ 16%, & the HRA is allowed @ 12% in PRC 2022.

4. In the reference 3d read above, the Employees working in the aforementioned District headquarters have requested to extend the HRA @ 16% to all the District headquarters in the State, in relaxation of the stipulated population parameters, on the analogy of the (13) erstwhile District headquarters.

5. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby order to enhance the House Rent Allowance (HRA) from the existing 12% to 16% in respect of the District headquarters of Parvathipuram, Paderu, Amalapuram, Bhimavaram, Bapatia, Narsaropeta, Puttaparthy & Rayachoty.

6.These orders shall be applicable with prospective effect from 01.06.2023.

7. All other terms & conditions relating to House Rent Allowance (HRA) mentioned in the reference 1" read above shall remain applicable.

8. Necessary amendments to the AP Public Employment (House Rent Allowance) Rules, 1988 shall be issued separately.
