School Education Department – Mid Day Meal Scheme – Enhancement of honorarium from Rs.1000 to Rs.3000/- per month to Cook-cum-Helpers working under Mid Day Meal Scheme – Cancellation of orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.20 School Education (Prog.I) Department, dt. 12/2/2019 - Revised Orders – Issued

ORDER:

1. In the reference 1st  read above, the Commissioner of School Education, A.P.  has stated that 88,296 Cook-cum-¬Helpers are presently working under MDM scheme in the State and the  State Government is following the MHRD norms for engaging the Cook--cum-Helpers in the Schools. As per the GoI norms, the Cook- cum-Helpers are being paid honorarium of Rs.1,000/- per month  (In 60:40 ratio  as Central and State share respectively). From the month of September, 2017 the honorarium is being paid through Centralized Payment System. The Cook-cum-Helpers (CCHs) working under Mid-Day Meal Scheme are frequently demanding for enhancement of honorarium. 
2. After careful examination of the matter, Government hereby enhance honorarium from Rs.1000/- to Rs.3000/- per month to Cook-cum-Helpers working under Mid Day Meal Scheme  from the month of August 2019 payable on 1st September 2019 in supersession of the orders issued in the G.O. 2nd read above. The Commissioner of School Education shall meet the expenditure from the budget provision made in BE 2019-2020 in the relevant Head of Account. 
3. The Commissioner of School Education, A.P. shall take necessary action in the matter accordingly. 
4. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (FMU-School Edn) Dept vide their U.O.No.FIN01-FMU0BES(SE)/36/2019, dt. 14/9/2019.
