Message from the Commissioner of School Education AP.

I am very much delighted to write the
Foreword for the “Primary Teacher’s hand book
titled, “Know - How” which is aimed at empowering
the teachers handling English Medium sections at
Primary level.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced English Medium
sections from 1st Class onwards as per the aspirations of parents and
society during this academic year 2018-2019. This book, “Know – How”
has been prepared by SCERT AP to enable and empower the Primary
Level Teachers in handling English Medium sections.
The preparation of the book, “Know -How” is intended to enrich the
Proficiency level of the teachers and to improve command over the
language to transact effectively through English Medium. It internalizes
not only the English language teaching but also interlinks the teaching of
Mathematics, Environmental Science and othertopics”
I hope that this “Know -How” will serve to achieve the intended
purpose of empowering the teachers and strengthening our English Class
rooms at the grass root level.

As the Commissioner of School Education APAmaravathi, I
appreciate the strenuous efforts of the Director of SCERT AP, Mr. D.
Madhusudhanarao, Dr. Jayaraj.S Professor Department of Phonetics
EFLU, Dr. Suman Bandi, RIESI, the Coordinator- ELT Mrs. G.Rajani
Kantha Kumari and the team members in bringing out a very useful tool
for the benefit of the teachers who are handling English medium
sections at the Primary Level across the state.
