 Read the following:

1.From the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, Letter No.437/6/1/ECI/FUNCT/MCC/2019, dated:16-01-2019.

ORDER :

In the reference 1st read above, the Election Commission of India, New Delhi have issued comprehensive guidelines for transfer/postings of all the Officers who are connected with conduct of elections in all the States/UTs in view of the General Elections-2019.

2. In the reference 2nd read above, the comprehensive guidelines have been communicated to the concerned Secretaries / HoDs / DEOs with a request to effect the transfers/postings of all the Officers who are connected with the conduct elections as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, immediately.

3. Government after further examination, have noted that in addition to General Elections-2019, the Nine (9) MLC Elections are likely to be held in the month of February / March, 2019 and the Model Code of conduct of MLC elections may come into effect soon, creating the problems/hurdles for effecting the transfers / postings of the Officers as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India for General Elections-2019. Further, Election Commission of India has already started various training programmes for the election related Officers.
