STATE BANK DEBIT CARDS REDUCTION IN ATM CASH WITHDRAWAL LIMIT OF CLASSIC & MAESTRO DEBIT CARD VARIANTS FROM RS.40,000/­ TO Rs.20,000/­

1. In view of the increase in number of complaints received by the Bank around fraudulent transactions at ATMs, and to encourage digital/cashless transactions, it has been decided to decrease the cash withdrawal limits of Debit Cards issued/being issued on Classic and Maestro platforms from Rs.40,000/­ to Rs.20,000/­ with effect from 31­Oct­2018. The list of BIN numbers of all such Cards with existing and revised limits have been enclosed as Annexure­I.
2. As per Banking Codes & Standards Board of India (BCSBI) guidelines, at least 30 days’ notice has to be given to the customers for any changes in terms and conditions or charges. Accordingly, all the Branches are hereby advised to display the following message on the notice board essentially by 29­Sep­2018, for information of the customers. This message is also being displayed on the corporate website of the Bank at bank.sbi.

                   Daily Cash withdrawal limits for Classic and Maestro Debit Cards reduced from Rs.40,000/­ to Rs.20,000/­ per day with effect from 31st Oct 2018. If you require higher daily cash withdrawal limit, please apply for a higher card variant.
